Flight & Airy Birthday Wishes

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop bringing you inspiration from all around the world. Today our theme is Birthdays! I hope you make and SEND a lot of birthday cards because a card is so much better than a text or a message on social media. Surely your friends are “card worthy!” LOL!

Here is a quick and easy one to make with the Flight & Airy pack of paper that is free during Sale-a-bration. This is one of my favorite freebies this year. The colors and patterns are soft and sophisticated. Each one is so pretty.

I love to let the patterned paper do all of the work. A couple of layers here and there and you have a beautiful card. The branch and the sentiment are from the Nested Friends bundle which coordinates so well with this paper. Those darling birds are fussy cut from the Flight & Airy papers.

instructions

Cut a piece of patterned paper 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and adhere to a Misty Moonlight mat cut 4″ x 5 1/4″.
Adhere the layered paper to a Petal Pink card base cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.
Die cut a piece of patterned paper (the blue is a “back” side) with the 2nd largest Stylish Shapes die.
Adhere the circle to a piece of Misty Moonlight cut with the 6th from the center Deckled Circles die. Adhere to the front of the card.
Fussy cut two small birds.
Stamp the branch with Pecan Pie ink on a piece of Pecan Pie card stock. Die cut.
Adhere the branch to the front of the card.
Add the two birds with dimensionals.
Add three gems from the Tinsel Gems Three Pack.
Adhere a 1/2″ strip of patterned paper along the left hand side of your inside mat, cut 5 1/4″ x 4″.
Adhere to the inside of the card.
