Festive Friday World Chocolate Day Card (#ff0187)

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0187 where we are celebrating World Chocolate Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create a card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. As you can see my card doesn’t have anything to do with World Chocolate Day! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

To play along with us just use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up to the #festivefridaychallenge. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Remember, your project does not have to celebrate the actual occasion- just make a card, 3D item, or scrapbook page using 3 items on the list. Here’s my World Chocolate Day #FF0187 creation again..

Back to Festive Friday Challenge #0172. I used the Sweet Jar Stamp set and coordinating punch with one of the Glass & Gardens embossing folders to make this fun “sweet” card. I featured the following items from the Inspo List: brown, foil and sweet sentiment.

instructions for the World Chocolate Day card

Cut a Calypso Coral card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Stamp the sentiment on a Basic Beige mat cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ in Early Espresso ink in the lower right hand corner.
Adhere this to the front of the card base.
Adhere a 5″ x 1 3/4″ piece of Crumb Cake plaid paper from the Timeless Plaid collection at a slight angle.
Run a 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Pool Party card stock through the Glass embossing folder. Use a blending brush to add Pool Party ink to the left edge, top and bottom.
Adhere this at an angle to the front.
With the 2 1/2″ Stylish Shapes circle, die cut a circle from gold foil.
Stamp the jar on a 2 1/2″ x 2″ piece of Basic Beige using Early Espresso ink.
Punch with the Jar punch.
Stamp the cookies in Crumb Cake ink. Add the chocolate chips in Early Espresso ink.
Use the punch with a scrap of Early Espresso card stock to make the top of the jar. Adhere to the jar.
Use Tear & Tape to adhere the completed jar to the foil circle.
Pop the jar up on the front of the card.
Stamp “sweetness” in Early Espresso ink on a 1/4″ strip of Calypso Coral card stock. Pop up as part of sentiment as shown.
Add embellishments from the Neutral Matte Dots package.
On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic Beige, add a 1/2″ x 5″ piece of the Crumb Cake plaid paper and 1/4″ x 5″ strip of the Pool Party card stock to the left hand side.
Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso.
Adhere to the inside.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. The class will be recorded and the replay available via YouTube if you can’t attend the class. You can substitute stamp sets or add the stamp set/punch to your order and use your own inks.

There is the option to add on the stampset or bundle. You can choose to add the stamp set ($19) or the stamp set and punch bundle ($42.25). Shipping will be on me!
