Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0171! This is a very special Festive Friday challenge for me as it is my first as part of the Design Team. I have played along with the challenges on occasion in the past but now I have an official role with the challenge. I am so excited.

There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. The theme this time is Odd Socks and as you can see my card doesn’t have anything to do with socks!

To play along with us just use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up to the #festivefridaychallenge. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Remember, your project does not have to celebrate the actual occasion- just make a card, 3D item, or scrapbook page using 3 items on the list.

Back to Festive Friday Challenge #0171. I used the Bee My Valentine Stamp set and Bee Mine punch to make this fun card. I chose the following items from the Inspo List: Bold Colors, Geometric Shapes, and Sequins.

I used the Bee body stamp and Summer Splash ink to make the background and achieved the light and dark color by stamping once (dark) and then stamping again without re-inking (light.) The hearts were punched with the Bee Mine punch in Summer Splash and Fresh Freesia. The “Your Kindness is so appreciated” sentiment is one of my favorites and comes from the So Sincere stamp set.

instructions

Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut a Basic White Mat 5 1/4″ x 4″.
Find the center of the mat by locating 2″ along the top edge and coming down 2 3/4″ from there. Put a light pencil mark.
Stamp the oval with Summer Splash ink in the center and then again to the right of the first image.
Continue stamping twice each time you ink it until you get a 3 x 3 array with the light and dark colors alternating.
Adhere the mat to the front of the card base.
Stamp your sentiment on a Basic White scrap and die cut with a banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies.
Adhere the banner to a 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ strip of Summer Splash card stock and pop up on the front of the mat.
Adhere two small Fresh Freesia hearts to the larger Summer Splash heart punched with the Bee Builder punch and then pop that up on the front of the card.
Add three white sequins. Color two white sequins with the Dark Fresh Freesia blend and add to the front.
Add two small Summer Splash hearts also punched with the Bee Builder punch to the inside.

Christmas Stamp a Stack November

Join me for my November 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards each month (2 each of 4 designs) so you’ll be getting ahead on your Christmas cards each month. We will be using the Artful Amaryllis bundle.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping). Please email me to let me know you are interested in this class.

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday (Oct, Nov) of each month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube, to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience. You will substitute your own stamp sets or add the stamp set/dies to your order.
