Festive Friday (#FF0186) World Pet Memorial Day- Welcome Little One

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0186 where we are celebrating World Pet Memorial Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. As you can see my card doesn’t have anything to do with World Pet Memorial Day! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

To play along with us just use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up to the #festivefridaychallenge. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Remember, your project does not have to celebrate the actual occasion- just make a card, 3D item, or scrapbook page using 3 items on the list.

Here’s my World Pet Memorial Day card (#FF0186) creation. It is a congratulations card for a friend who just became a grandmother for the first time!

I used brown, animal and ribbon as items from the Inspo List on my card. This soft background was created with the Irresistible Designs Specialty paper and a blending brush. It’s a paper that is embossed with designs making it very easy to do any of the emboss resist techniques. I covered it with Soft Sea Foam ink and then wiped the extra ink off of the embossed lines.

The bunny and the baby bunny in the wheel barrel are from a piece of the Storybook Moments DSP which I die cut with a Meant To Bee hexagon die. It’s a simple, but cute card to welcome a new grandchild of a wonderful friend.

instructions for Welcome Little One

Cut your Pecan Pie card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut a piece of the “plaid” Irresistible Designs Specialty paper 5 1/4″ x 4″ and use a blending brush to apply Soft Sea Foam ink all over it.
Wrap a piece of Basic Beige ribbon around it and tape to the back.
Adhere the die cut piece of Storybook Moments patterned paper to a die cut piece of Old Olive. Use the 2nd and 3rd hexagon dies from the Meant to Bee dies.
Pop the layered DSP onto the front with dimensionals.
Tie a bow around the ribbon adhered to the mat.
Add the Welcome Little One (from the Storybook Friends Stamp set) stamped with Pecan Pie ink on Basic Beige card stock and cut with a Nested Essentials die.
Pop this up on the front with dimensionals.
Add several Antique Pearl embellishments.
On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic Beige stamp Congratulations from the Sunrise Sailing bundle.
Adhere to the inside.
