Festive Friday #FF0185 Father's Day Card - ChatnCraft with Lorraine

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0185 where we are celebrating Father’s Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will challenge you to create a card or project. Your card doesn’t have to relate to Father’s Day at all! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

To play along with us just use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up to the #festivefridaychallenge. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Remember, your project does not have to celebrate the actual occasion- just make a card, 3D item, or scrapbook page using 3 items on the list. Here’s another look at my Father’s Day (#FF0185) creation.

My Father’s Day Block Background card was so much fun to make. The background colors – Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight, and Pool Party- were done with markers and a block. Be sure to watch the video to see how to do this.

I love a stamp set and die bundle that has trees and mountains. Mountains are one of my very favorite things. Those two trees are from the Scenic Adventures dies. The great texture is from the Mini Corrugated embossing folder and the nice, bold sentiment is from the Trusty Tools stamp set.

Here’s a look at another card I made but added a die cut of a tool. If you are celebrating a handy father, this might be just what you are looking for.

The tool card used Early Espresso, Pretty Peacock, and Lost Lagoon. The hammer is also from the Trusty Tools stamps and cut with corresponding dies.

instructions for the Father’s Day Card

Cut a card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″. Burnish the fold.
Set a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White on your glass mat.
Scribble with an Early Espresso marker on the left side of an H Block. Then color the next 1/3 of the block with Pretty Peacock marker, and finish with Lost Lagoon marker.
Use the Stampin’ Spritzer to spritz the block about 3 times. Then press the block water side down onto the Basic White just above the center. After a couple of seconds, carefully lift the block.
Dry with your heat tool and run through the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder.
Die cut the double tree from a scrap of Misty Moonlight card stock.
Adhere this piece to the front of your card base.
Stamp the Happy Father’s Day sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Misty Moonlight.
Attach a slightly shorter scrap of Pool Party to the lower edge of the sentiment.
Pop the sentiment up on dimensionals with room for the tree to the left. Over lap if needed.
On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White stamp the sentiment and tree in Early Espresso as shown below. Adhere to the inside.
Add three Textured Dots to the front.

Stamp Camp is for Demos and Customers. You’ll have all kinds of ideas for your classes or personal use. You will need the products listed to make all the Make and Take kits as presented, but unavailable items can be purchased and finished anytime after the Stamp Camp.

The Celebratory Sips Stamp Camp includes prerecorded videos and a bundle of written tutorials showing how to make the 13 card kit cards. Live videos showing additional cards and techniques are presented the weekend of the camp. There are challenges and more! Everything happens in a private Facebook Group that will stay on Facebook for as long as Facebook allows it. The first 17 Stamp Camps we’ve done are still available to the participants. We do 3-4 online stamp camps per year and most people who have participated once, do all of them because they are fun, informative, and it’s a really great deal! You will love it! Join me this month for my Card Class in the Mail- All Occasion Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards (2 of 4 designs) so you’ll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions. For August we will use the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set.

Cost is $35.00 (local) or $40 (by mail) or free with a minimum of a $50 order (before taxes and shipping and after any Stampin’ Rewards are applied).

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. The class will be recorded and the replay available via YouTube if you can’t attend the class. You can substitute stamp sets or add the stamp set/punch to your order and use your own inks.

There is the option to add on the stampset or bundle. You can choose to add the stamp set ($19) or the stamp set and punch bundle ($42.25). Shipping will be on me!
