Festive Friday Chinese New Year

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0203 where we are celebrating Chinese New Year! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will inspire you to create card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. Your card doesn’t have to celebrate the holiday. It is okay for it to look very different! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

This Sending Luck themed card features the Sweet Jar stamp set and Jar Punch for the images and sentiment. The background of the card is a piece of paper from the Splash of Sparkles paper pack. The small shamrocks were stamped directly on the patterned paper. Who do you know that could use a little luck?

The sentiment is from the Creative Haven stamp set. I stamped in Highland Heather ink to bring in another color from the front DSP.

Instructions for Fabulous Friend Card

Cut your card base 4 1/4″ x 11 and score at 5 1/2″. Fold and burnish.
Stamp a few shamrocks on the 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Splash of Sparkles paper and adhere to the front.
Prepare a scrap of Basic White by rubbing it with the embossing buddy. Stamp the outline of the jar and the lid with Versamark and sprinkle with gold embossing powder. Melt with the heat tool.
Stamp off with Shy Shamrock ink and then stamp the background of the shamrocks in the jar.
Add the shamrocks with Shy Shamrock ink “full strength.”
Use the punch to punch out the jar and lid.
Pop up on the front with dimensionals.
Die cut a scrap of Basic White with the second smallest Party Banner die.
Stamp Sending a Little Your Way in Azure Afternoon ink.
Stamp “luck” in Shy Shamrock in the center of the sentiment. Add a couple of shamrocks.
Pop it up on the front of the card.
Add a twine bow.
Add a few gems in one of the colors of the paper.
On the inside piece of Basic White (5 1/4″ x 4″) stamp the “You’ve got this” stamp in Highland Heather. Adhere to the inside of the card.
