Welcome to our Technique Tuesday Blog Hop which is focusing on Embossing Folders this month. I love using embossing folders and love how many ways you can enhance your cards with them. Here several cards made by swiping the embossed piece of card stock with an ink pad.

The Fern 3D embossing folder swiped with White Craft ink makes a bold statement on this card. Paired with White & Silver ribbon and a Shaded Spruce evergreen from the Frosted Forest bundle this card makes a fairly quick holiday card. The “Good Tidings” sentiment is from the Sophisticated Sled bundle.

This card is embossed with the Woodgrain 3D embossing folder and “swiped” with Early Espresso ink. The Merry Christmas is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on a circle die cut with a Spotlight on Nature die. The folded Christmas tree adds a bit of dimension to the front of the card. This card was finished off with Cherry Cobbler and Gold ribbon and a few textured dots.
If you’d like to know how to fold a half circle into a tree, watch this short minute video.
My last example of this fun embossing folder technique uses the Layered Florals 3D embossing folders.

This birthday card came together in a snap and is sure to bring a smile. I hope you’ll give this technique a try.
Here’s a replay of a Facebook live where you can see two demonstrations of this technique.
