Welcome to the March Creativity Abounds Blog Hop where our theme is Anything But a Card! We think you will love all of the amazing projects created by our design team.
I have created an easy to make DIY Embellishment Holder. You’ll love decorating this with one of the many beautiful patterned papers in your stash!

This holder can be made to match any decor! Just grab a 12″ x 12″ piece of card stock and your favorite patterned paper. This example has Mossy Meadow paired with the Wildly Flowering paper. A bit of Boho Blue ribbon dresses up the front and then use your Mini Alphabet dies to label your box. I chose BLING with Early Espresso card stock since it was much shorter than E-M-B-E-L-L-I-S-H-M-E-N-T-S!
Here it is filled with the goods!

Let’s get busy and make one together!
Instructions for DIY embellishment holder
- Start with a 10 1/2″ x 10 3/4″ piece of Mossy Meadow card stock.
- Score the 10 1/2″ side at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/2″.
- Score the 10 3/4″ side at 3″ and 7 3/4″.
- Fold and burnish the score lines.
- Using the photo below, cut as indicated by the BLUE lines.

- Flip the card stock over and adhere a 1 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of patterned paper to the center rectangle on the bottom row.
- Watch the video to see how to assemble this into the box.
- Trim each side at an angle from the back top corner to the right front edge.
- Cut two pieces of Mossy Meadow card stock 3″ x 6 3/4″ and 2″ x 6 3/4″ and score 1″ from each end on both pieces.
- Adhere a 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Wildly Flowering patterned paper on the larger Mossy Meadow piece and a 1 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Wildly Flowering patterned paper on the smaller piece of Mossy Meadow.
- Insert the larger one into the box first, pushing it flush against the sides and the back corners.
- Repeat with the smaller piece of card stock.
- Wrap about 20″ of ribbon around the base of the box and tie.
- Add an adhesive sheet on the back of your Early Espresso card stock and then die cut the letters.
- Adhere the letters to a scrap of white and then trim.
- Pop “Bling” up on dimensionals over the ribbon.
- Fill with embellishments and display!
