Delicate Forest #SimpleStamping Card

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today is Share it Sunday and we get to inspire you with a project of our choice. I have chosen to showcase the Delicate Forest stamp set. It is a less noticed set in the January – April 2024 Mini Catalog. It has dies that coordinate with it, but today I am focusing on the stamp set alone.

The tree image in the stamp set is pretty tall but I have “shrunken” it on this card. I put a strip of masking paper along the bottom edge of my Basic White mat before stamping and then just stamped the three trees in descending height. I started at the right edge and worked toward the middle, inking each time. Granny Apple Green is the perfect color for a spring time tree! I must be dreaming of spring while we are covered in snow!

After removing the masking paper, stamp the the sentiment- from the Phrases for All stamp set. Then run your mat through the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. It’s a pretty simple yet striking card.

Here’s another card I made the same way.

This one features Starry Sky ink and a sentiment from the Delicate Forest stamp set. Instead of trees, I chose a wildflower patch or a shrub for the stamped image. I also cut the mat to 5″ x 3 3/4″ and matted it on Starry Sky card stock. Which card do you like best?

I think these are two are stunning examples of #simplestamping. Just a bit of stamps, ink and paper is all you need to make a beautiful card. Don’t forget to send it- that’s the real magic of card making.
