Delicate Forest Sending Support Card

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today’s hop has one of my favorite themes….whatever you are working on currently! So basically, anything goes. I’m sharing a card I made with the Delicate Forest stamp set and my current favorite color…it changes pretty often…Moody Mauve.

This is a simple card that will carry my love and encouragement to a friend. These beautiful trees can be used in so many different ways. I know you’ll be seeing more of them in my cards in the next few weeks.

The card base is “spruced up” a bit with tone on tone stamping behind the focal image using the falling leaves stamp in the set. Stamping off once with the Moody Mauve resulted in the lighter shade for two of the trees. Such a simple but strong card. I love the sentiments in this set as well. They are all perfect for offering support and encouragement.

Instructions

Cut a Moody Mauve card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
On the front of the card, stamp the leaves all around the border with Moody Mauve ink. Rotate the stamp as you go.
On a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White, stamp the tree in the center with Moody Mauve ink.
Without reinking, stamp a second tree to the left of the first one.
Re ink your stamp, stamp off on a piece of scrap paper and stamp a third tree to the right of the center one.
Wrap a piece of Moody Mauve ribbon around the Basic White piece. With a second piece, tie a knot. Trim the ends short.
On a scrap of Moody Mauve, stamp the sentiment in Moody Mauve ink. Trim to fit.
Pop the sentiment on the front of the card with dimensionals.
On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White mat, stamp the falling leaves in the upper right hand corner.
Adhere to the inside.
