This card with the Country Floral 3 D Embossing Folder was a breeze! The embossing folder does all the “heavy lifting” for this card! A little twine and a sentiment and you are done! I think it gets a “big bang for its buck,” just saying….. I do have a “Cutting Trick” to keep the embossed section square and true to size! Read it in the instructions below!
In case you’d like to make this card, here are the details:
Card base of 8.5 inches x 5.5 inches and score at 4.25
In same color cut a 5.25 x 4 inch piece of card stock and emboss
After embossing cut the embossed piece down to 4.75 x 3.5 inches.
(I emboss first and then cut because the deep embossing changes the size of the paper.)
Cut a whisper white mat at 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 inches.
Attach the embossed piece to the whisper white mat. Wrap with baker’s twine or ribbon
and then adhere to the card base.
Choose a sentiment and stamp. Cut out with the second smallest stitched oval. Adhere
with dimensionals.
The products I used are listed below if you are interested. Click on any product and it will take you to my online store.
I hope you’ll try making a card that showcases an embossing folder! I think you’ll be pleased.
Happy card making!
Lorraine
Love the card! Need a little clarification… do you mean emboss first then cut? It says score first. I’m so tempted to get this folder, but I have so many already!
Thanks for asking, Judy. I did mean emboss the paper first and then cut. I corrected the post. We get by with a little help from our friends, right? 😉❤️😀
