Country Birdhouse Clean and Simple Birthday

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Clean and Simple Blog Hop. Today our theme is, well, yup….Clean and Simple. To most, that seems to mean not too many layers and lots of white space. Sometimes that can be a challenge- not because Clean and Simple isn’t beautiful but because it’s different.

I am really pleased with my Country Birdhouse Clean and Simple Birthday card. It fits what I had imagined perfectly and didn’t take too much playing around to get there.

As you can see, there’s lots of white space and a white on white layer hardly counts, right? I used the smallest Stylish Shapes square die for the squares. Both the single flower and the sentiment are from the Country Birdhouse stamp set. Three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were the perfect simple finishing touch.

Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut a Basic White mat 5 1/4″ x 4″.
Cut three of the smallest squares from scraps of Gorgeous Grape card stock with the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp on each one with the single flower from the Country Birdhouse stamp set. Rotate the flower slightly on each. Pop up on dimensionals on the front of the card.
Below the squares, stamp “Happy Birthday” also from the Country Birdhouse stamp set.
Add three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
On the inside stamp “Hoping you have the best day ever” from the same stamp set.
Stamp a single flower in the lower left corner.
