Today I am participating in the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. We are an international group of demonstrators who hop every month and create a card based on a photo. We can be inspired by the items in the photo or the colors present in the photo. The choice is ours.
Here is the photo that inspired this card.

I created this card based on the colors. I love these bright happy colors and thought they were perfect for an Easter Card. Here is my card.

I stamped the “blob” stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Polished Pink, Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Pumpkin Pie onto Basic White cut 3 3/4″ x 5″. Then I embossed this piece with the floral folder from the Basics Embossing Folder pack available on line. It adds such a nice touch.
This piece was then matted on a piece of Gorgeous Grape cut 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. I wanted Granny Apple Green ribbon so I used my Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to color a piece of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon. It’s such an easy way to customize your ribbons. I wrapped one piece around the matted card front and added a bow tied separately. This piece was then adhered to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base ( 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″) with Foam Adhesive Strips.
Lastly, I stamped “Happy Easter” from the Celebrating You stamp set and punched the Basic White and Gorgeous Grape with the Double Oval Punch. This was adhered to the front with dimensionals. Three pearls added the finishing touch. Although I made this for Easter, I think you could use this card for any happy occasion!
This card is so quick and easy to make. I can’t wait to make several more and have them ready for the holiday.
