Color & Contour Split Card Texture

Welcome to the July 2022 Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. We have a fun color challenge for you today. Here it is:

Now, I have to admit that I would not choose these colors together on my own. Crushed Curry is usually reserved for my fall cards and these colors scream SUMMER to me. But, once I started playing I found that these colors came together quickly. Here’s my card:

The Granny Apple Green mat layer is cut with the new Split Card Texture dies. This is my first time using them and I think they are great. The die adds just enough texture and interest to the background. I know I will get lots of use from these. The speckled background, the flowers. leaves and sentiment are all from the Color & Contour stamp set. This stamp set remains one of my favorite. The flowers are two step stamping. I stamped the outline first in full strength and then stamped the “fill in” in the same color, stamping off first.
