I chose the Color & Contour stamp set to use with a sketch challenge. A sketch challenge is so much fun because someone has already decided on your layout- more or less. (You can always change it up…it’s just a starting point.) Having the layout provided for you removes a lot of the decision making. Here is the sketch that started it all.
The Layout
I made this card while at my daughter’s house where I have limited supplies. I only had three colors of ink and card stock with me. I chose Night of Navy and patterned papers from the Harvest Meadow paper pack. (I think this will be one of my favorites.) I wish I had had an embossing folder with me to emboss this Polished Pink piece of yardstick. Imagine it with the floral pattern from the Meadow Moments embossing folders.
I’m enjoying the Color & Contour flowers. There is an outline stamp and also a fill in stamp. I’ve hear crafters complain that they are difficult to line up. Well, here’s my BEST TIP for you. Line up the outline stamp and the fill in stamp on the stamp case COVER! Then put them on your blocks in the same orientation. When you stamp with them in this orientation, they will line up! Easy Peasy!
I love this sentiment as well! Life is always challenging and as card makers, we like to show support. What better way than with a card that says, “here for you now” and on the inside reads, “and in better days ahead.”
