The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.
Our Share It Sunday blog hop is a chance to share whatever we would like. Today I’m sharing a card we made in my in person classes this month. This card features the Circle Sayings stamp set and the Lighter than Air paper. Both of these products will be retiring with the end of the current catalogs.
The soft pastel colors in the Lighter than Air paper make a perfect backdrop for the focal image. And, what better to focus on than a cupcake? I love this little cupcake (and the Celebrate circle) from the Circle Sayings stamp set. I think this is the perfect birthday card for both kids and adults! Everyone loves a cupcake. The inside says “Happy Birthday” with another stamp from Circle Sayings.
instructions for circle sayings birthday card
- Cut an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card base from Azure Afternoon. Score at 4 1/4″.
- On a piece of Basic White cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ adhere the patterned paper as shown. The dimensions of the pieces are:
- Left rectangle: 5″ x 2″
- Top Right and Bottom Right: 2″ x 1 5/8″
- Center Right: 3/4″ x 1 5/8″
- Stamp the Celebrate circle using Azure Afternoon ink on a piece of Basic White and cut with the 3rd largest Stylish Shapes die.
- Adhere the circle to the center of the card.
- Use Memento ink to stamp the cupcake on a scrap of Basic White. Color the cupcake paper with Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends. Use the Bubble Bath Blends to color the frosting.
- Add several Adhesive Backed Solid Gems around the circle and one on top of the cupcake!
- On a 5 1/4″ x 4″ mat, stamp Happy Birthday in Afternoon Azure ink. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Techniques across the Border Classes

General Information:
Join Melva and me to learn (or learn more) about a new technique each month. Our class will be held via Zoom on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern Time. We will explore the technique and make 4 projects in each class.
There are 2 options for each class:
Option 1 – Class Cost $35 and includes 4 projects and a selection of supplies you need to make the projects
Option 2 – If you have the products for the technique – Class Cost FREE with an order of at least $35 before shipping and taxes
