Circle in a Circle with Decorative Trees

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Showcase Blog Hop. We get to share any project we’d like with you today.

I have chosen this Circle in a Circle card with the Decorative Trees bundle. These two cards feature Season of Green & Gold paper (left) and Graceful Greenery Vellum (right) with Garden Green.

Any circle dies will work as you can see. I used Stylish Shapes and Deckled Circles on these cards and tried two different 3D embossing folders as well- Birch Wood and Forever Plaid. Do you prefer one card over the other?

Cut a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Die cut a circle “hanging off” the right edge of a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White.
Lay (DO NOT ADHERE) this piece on top of the Garden Green mat cut 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and place a slightly smaller circle die cut inside the cut out circle. Tape it in place.
Remove the white piece and die cut the circle from the Garden Green mat.
Run the Basic White mat through the Birch Wood 3D embossing folder.
Adhere the embossed mat to the Garden Green mat and adhere these layers to the front of your card base.
Stamp your sentiment in Garden Green in the opening of the circles.
Die cut a Garden Green tree. Stamp the “evergreen” tree on this die cut.
Die cut a Basic White tree and a tree from the Season of Green & Gold paper. Adhere the DSP tree to the Basic White tree to provide it more stability.
Adhere the Garden Green tree flat to the front of the card. Add the second tree with dimensionals on the right side and glue where it overlaps the green tree.
Add three gold embellishments.
If desired add a Garden Green mat cut 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and adhere to the inside of the card base.
Add a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White onto the Garden Green mat.
Stamp an evergreen tree in the lower right hand corner.
