Christmas Tree Card for Festive Friday#0199 National Candy Cane Day

Welcome to Festive Friday #FF0199 where we are celebrating National Candy Cane Day! Below you will see our Inspo List that was inspired by this holiday. We hope the Inspo list will inspire you to create card based on the theme and/or the inspiration list. As you can see my card doesn’t really celebrate the holiday, and that is okay! There is a new Festive Friday Challenge every other week.

I chose to make a Christmas card using negative space of a Christmas tree die. From the Inspo List I chose green, stripes, Christmas Tree and Christmas sentiment. The tree was die cut from the Old Olive mat with one of the tree dies from the Ornamental Christmas bundle. The three strips of patterned paper were from the Elegant Pine Snowflakes paper pack. This was a really fun card to make and the best part was that it made the striped card front for three cards at once. (White Willow 12″ x 12″ card stock makes this possible!)

Here is a look at the inside of the card.

As I mentioned I made three cards with the striped background. Here is the second card using an ornament die from the Ornamental Christmas bundle.

You can see that I chose to emboss this Secret Sea mat after cuttin the ornament from it. Have I told you lately that I LOVE Secret Sea.

Here is the third card which also uses the ornament die.

All of the cards have sentiments from the Greetings For You Mix & Match Ephemera pack. I love how easy these are to use. Since they are self adhesive, you just pop them on and viola! You are done!

Measurements

Card Bases (on each Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Secret Sea) : 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
White Willow 5 1/4″ x 12″
Three strips of Elegant Pine Snowflakes paper cut 3/4″ x 12″
Three mats (one each Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, and Secret Sea) cut 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.
