Christmas Mice Fun Fold

Happy World Card Making Day to You! I hope you had a chance to do what you love today and if that included making a card, Hooray! Here is a fun fold I shared in honor of this special day! I used the A Little Christmas Suite of products. The mice are so cute and the way they can hold things, like the candy cane just makes me smile!

While it looks great closed, it looks pretty spectacular open as well.

And still it has one more surprise for you!

It has a pocket where you can write your message. If you are like me and don’t have the nicest handwriting, keeping it hidden is a bonus!

I also made it with the Alpine Winter papers and a sentiment from Soiree Salutations.

And here it is opened.

Lastly I used Sunflower Fields paper and the Radiant Sunflower bundle to make this one.

instructions for christmas Mice fun fold

Cut a card base 5 1/2″ x 11″ and score on the 11″ side at 1 3/4″, 3 1/2″ and 5 1/4″. Then turn it 180 degrees and score from the other end at 4″. Fold and burnish.
Put it back on your trimmer with the 5 1/2″ side at the top and the left edge at 2 1/4″. Cut from the first score mark to the third score mark.
Rotate the paper 180 degrees and place the left edge at 2 1/4″ and cut from the bottom score line up to the 3rd from the bottom score line. (See the video if needed.)
Fold your card again and pop the little section you just cut to the front.
Cut your Patterned paper (DSP) for the left side from one piece of 5 1/4″ x 6″ paper if you want the pattern to match up across the 4 panels. Cut 4 panels at 1 1/2″. Keep them in order.
Adhere the 1st and last panel to the first and last section of the card base.
Cut the middle two panels to 2″ x 1 1/2″, 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ and then 2″ x 1 1/2″ again. (The video has tips and rational for cutting this way.)
Adhere all those pieces of DSP to the panels on the left side of the card base.
Cut a coordinating piece of DSP to 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″. Use a circle punch to punch a partial circle cut out for a thumb hole.
Adhere this by gluing only the top, bottom and left side to the card base.
Cut the second largest Stylish Shapes square and decorate with a die cut tree and a stamped and die cut mouse, candy cane and hat.
Cut the 3rd largest square from Peaceful Pine and add a Merry Christmas sentiment stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. Fussy cut and adhere to the square.
See the video for a tip on how to adhere the diamond so it won’t show.
On a 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Basic White, stamp a sentiment and punch a hole with the 1/8″ hole punch. Feed a small piece of Peaceful Pine ribbon through. Use glue dots to hold it in place.
Add Golden Glow In Color dots to the front.
