Cheers to You and the New Year

The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Today our theme is New Year Glam! What better for New Year’s Eve or New Year’s celebration than a lot of silver and sparkle! I always think of midnight when I think of New Year’s, too. So I chose a “night time card.”

I chose a piece of patterned paper from the Stargazing paper pack. This paper has amazing fun colors and patterns. I love it! I added Sparkle ribbon, Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems, and silver heat embossing for my sentiment! I couldn’t think of any other way to add more sparkle. That sentiment from Throughout the Year is just perfect. I think this is my new favorite stamp set because it covers EVERY occasion.

Measurements

Card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

Azure Afternoon card stock 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″, scrap for sentiment

Stargazing paper 4″ x 5 1/4″

Silver & White Ribbon

INstructions for Cheers to You and the New Year card

Fold your card base.
Adhere the DSP to the Azure Afternoon card stock.
Wrap the Silver & White ribbon around the two pieces and tie a bow.
Prepare your scrap of Azure Afternoon card stock with the embossing buddy.
Stamp the “Cheers to you and the New Year” from the Throughout the Year stamp set in VersaMark and sprinkle with silver embossing powder. Heat with heat tool.
Die cut the sentiment with the 3rd largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies.
Pop onto the front of the card with dimensionals.
Add three Adhesive Backed Sparkle gems onto the front of the card!
