Welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog hop. This month our technique is Simple Stamping….just stamps, inks, and paper. Truly, that is all you need to make a beautiful card or 5 as I’ll show you here.

Here are the five cards I made. I used the Changing Leaves stamp set which I fell in love with immediately. It is one of the new Online Exclusives that will be available for you to purchase on July 3, 2024. (You can see all of these products that are not in any catalog by clicking here. ) The Changing Leaves stamp set is part of a bundle with dies and a hybrid embossing folder. I can’t wait to play with it all.

As you can see I also kept the ink choice very simple and used only Old Olive ink on all but one card. They card stock is also Old Olive. I chose to go with a monochromatic look as well.

I love to stamp an 8 1/2″ by 11″ piece of Basic White with my own images and then cut it up to use on cards. I call this a One Sheet Wonder because you can cut it up and have very little waste. I actually made a short video of how I stamped the paper and cut it up.

Once the sheet was stamped, I cut it to 5 1/4″ x 8 1/2″. Then I had planned to cut that to 2 pieces of 5 1/4″ x 4″ but because of a smudge, I cut one piece to 5″ x 3 3/4″. The rest of the sheet I cut to 5 1/4″ x 3″ and then 2 pieces of 5 1/4″ x 2 3/4″. Here is a cutting diagram for all of those cuts.

Christmas Stamp a Stack

Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards each month (2 each of 4 designs) so you’ll be getting ahead on your Christmas cards each month.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping).

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Monday (July, Aug) or Wednesday (Sept, Oct, Nov) of each month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 2:30 pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube, to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience. You will substitute your own stamp sets or add the stamp set/dies to your order.
