Celebrate with Cake Celebrations Card

Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Crafty Challenge blog hop. Today we are hoping to inspire you with our projects fueled by this photo and color challenge.

Here’s the card that I was inspired to make.

Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock are one of my current favorite color combinations so I went with those colors in my card. I love the layer cake look of Cake Celebrations. It is so much fun to layer both the stamps and the die cuts for different looks with the cake.

Cut a Pretty Peacock card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score it at 4 1/4″. Fold and burnish.
Cut a piece of Thoughtful Journeys patterned paper with the Pretty Peacock color to 5″ x 3 3/4″ and adhere to a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White.
Adhere these layers to the front of the card base.
Use the Greetings of the Season dies to cut the white “tag” for the focal image.
Build your cake on this tag by stamping with Pretty Peacock and die cutting the cake stand, one flower and two leaves on a scrap of Basic White.
Die cut the large and small layer from a scrap of Basic White. With Petal Pink ink, stamp the layers onto the die cut layers.
Add the die cut the layers of frosting cut from Petal Pink card stock.
Adhere the cake stand and then the layers onto the tag.
Stamp three flowers on a scrap of Petal Pink and die cut.
Add the die cut flowers and leaves.
Adhere the decorated tag to the front of the card with dimensionals.
Stamp “celebrate” in Petal Pink on a scrap of Basic White.
Adhere to a Petal Pink strip cut 3/8″ x 3″.
Add this to the top of the tag, covering the “hole” in the top.
Add both Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock bling to the front.
On a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White, stamp Happy and Anniversary in Pretty Peacock.
Add several stamped leaves around it.
Adhere to the inside.

Join me this month for my Card Class in the Mail- All Occasion Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards (2 of 4 designs) so you’ll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions. For August we will use the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set.

Cost is $35.00 (local) or $40 (by mail) or free with a minimum of a $50 order (before taxes and shipping and after any Stampin’ Rewards are applied).

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. The class will be recorded and the replay available via YouTube if you can’t attend the class. You can substitute stamp sets or add the stamp set/punch to your order and use your own inks.

There is the option to add on the stampset or bundle. You can choose to add the stamp set ($19) or the stamp set and punch bundle ($42.25). Shipping will be on me!
