This Catching Butterflies fun fold looks like an ordinary card when closed but opens to be decorated on both the left and right side. It’s a cute fold that is not too difficult to make. The best part of this card…. The stamp set is free with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration!
Instructions
- Cut your Highland Heather card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score it at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/4″.
- Fold in half on the 4 1/4″ score line and then fold the 1 1/2″ piece back onto the front of the card base. (It makes a small Z fold.)
- Cut your Fresh Freesia flowered patterned paper from the Heart & Home paper pack to 5 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ and 5 1/4″ x 1 1/8″.
- Look at the photo below. Adhere the larger piece of Fresh Freesia paper to the folded back flap on the front. Be sure to put adhesive only on the FLAP of the card.

- Open the card and adhere the Fresh Freesia 5 1/4″ x 1 1/8″ piece of paper to the right hand side of the LEFT inside of your card base as shown below.

- Using one of the woodgrain patterns from Heart & Home, cut a piece for the inside 5 1/4″ x 4″ and adhere to the inside right hand part of the card base.
- Cut a second piece of the woodgrain pattern 5 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ and adhere it to the front of the card, to the left of and under the Z fold. (See photo in step #4.)
- Use the Layering Circles dies to cut the largest scalloped circle in Highland Heather and the largest circle in Basic White. Stamp the Girl with the net on the white circle using Basic Gray. (Her net will not fit completely. That’s ok. We will fix it.) Color in her dress with the Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends. Stamp a second girl on a scrap and cut out the net. Pop it over the partial net on the circle with a dimensional.
- Stamp Collecting Sweet Thoughts of You in Basic Gray on a scrap of white and die cut with a circle.
- Cut the Largest Scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and stamp a sentiment. (I left mine blank so I could decide at a later date) and adhere to the inside.
