Welcome to the Case a Friend Blog Hop. Today I am casing my friend Sharon Burkert who is on social media as As the Ink Dries. CASE-ing means to Copy And Share Everything. Here’s the card she made that caught my eye!

I love this card. I chose this card because I love the design and the colors. I’m always drawn to groups of three and symmetry. I love how the ornaments hang from that branch too! (That branch is a sneak peek from the new Delightful Wishes bundle.) You can read more about Sharon’s card here.
Here is what I created:

As you can see, I kept the idea of the same shape used three times and a horizontal element. For my texture, I stamped a few flower centers in the background and used a “peekaboo” Spotlight on Nature die for my circles. The beautiful patterned paper and the die cut “wishing” as well as the “lots of love” are from the soon to be released Delightful Wishes bundle.
If you like the Delightful Wishes products you see here, you may want to join us for our Floral Delights Stamp Camp. See the details just a bit further down in this post.
instructions for the Delightful Wishes Card
- Cut a Basic White Thick card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Die cut two circles with the 2 1/8″ circle from the Floral Delight patterned paper.
- Die cut one circle from Basic White.
- Stamp the flower centers on the 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Old Olive using Old Olive ink.
- Layer the Old Olive piece on a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Pool Party card stock.
- Adhere these layers to the front of your card base.
- Adhere the two patterned paper circles on the front of the card.
- Stamp “Lots of Love” on the white circle as low as you can while still keeping the sentiment legible.
- Pop the white circle up on the front with dimensionals.
- Add an adhesive sheet to a piece of Crushed Curry about 4″ x 2 1/4″ and die cut the word “wishing”.
- Die cut the bottom layer of the “wishing” from Pecan Pie card stock also about 4″ x 2 1/4″.
- Remove the adhesive sheet protective layer and carefully lay the Crushed Curry “wishing” on the bottom piece.
- Adhere both to the front of the card with Tombow in the middle and a mini dimensional piece under the “w” and the “g” to keep it balanced.
- Scatter three bee trinkets on the front, attaching them with rolled up glue dots.
- On a scrap of Basic White, stamp 2 flowers in Lemon Lolly ink and then the detail of the flowers in Pecan Pie ink. Die cut both.
- Adhere one flower to the front and one to the inside lower left corner.
