As you can see, I did take a bit of artistic license. In place of the banner and tag in the upper left corner, I used the textured embossing from one of the Greenery embossing folders. I love the backdrop that it provides for the butterflies. These butterflies are from the new Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. They will be available from Stampin’ Up! on March 2 along matching dies and a beautiful pack of patterned paper. (I have pictures at the end of the post.)
Misty Moonlight and Coastal Cabana feel like spring to me and I’m drawn to these colors lately. I partially inked the large, multi-butterfly stamp in Coastal Cabana, Pretty Peacock, and Misty Moonlight. As long as you move from lightest to darkest color it’s okay if a bit of a lighter shade of ink gets on your ink pad. I love how the butterflies have an ombre look. I cut them out with the coordinating die and popped them up on dimensionals.
Next, I “interpreted” the skinny rectangle as a ribbon and a bow. I love the Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon. My sentiment is from Happy Thoughts and is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. The die cut is from the Tasteful Labels die set. Happy Thoughts stamp set is one that I seem to be reaching for all the time. This sentiment is perfect both on the front of a card as well as inside.
For a bit of shimmer and shine I placed three sequins from the Artistry Blooms pack on the card. I think there is a bit of resemblance to the card sketch. I hope you do too.
