Beautiful Ordinary Life Cheers for You Card

It’s time for our Creativity Abounds Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world- all with different styles- who hope to inspire you to create beautiful cards and send them to friends and family. Each month we create a tutorial that you can receive with an order from one of us as well as a blog post. These are often centered on a particular theme or technique.

This month our theme is centered around Masculine cards or other projects. Here is my appreciation card. This card could work as a thank you or as a Father’s Day card.

The Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite caught my eye as soon as I saw it in the catalog. I love the border dies and graphic stamps. I think it makes a great card as well as a scrapbook page. Here I have used the file folder dies on a variety of blues and grays. The sentiments are from the suite in the bundle, too.

The fun stars are from another bundle I fell in love with immediately. It is called Playful Packaging. You will definitely want to check this bundle out.

instructions for the Beautiful ORdinary Life cheers for you card

Cut a Blueberry Bushel card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut a 1 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ strip of Smoky Slate, Cloud Cover, Misty Moonlight and Blueberry Bushel card stock.
Line up the file folder tab of the file folder die on the top edge of the card stock. Tape the tab and the left edge in place and die cut with it. Repeat for all 4 colors.
Die cut a star from the Cloud Cover and Misty Moonlight card stock scraps and 2 stars from Blueberry Bushel as well.
Stamp the design along the bottom of the 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White using Blueberry using Blueberry Bushel ink.
Stamp the Cheers to You on the Smoky Slate file tab with Blueberry Bushel ink.
Add the Smoky Slate die cut just above it only using adhesive along the bottom edge to adhere it. This will allow you to slide the next tab underneath.
With adhesive only along the bottom edge of the Cloud Cover die cut, slide it under the first one.
Continuing adding the die cuts being sure to line up the tab sections.
Trim any excess hanging over the edges of the mat.
Stamp the “I truly….” sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink along the top edge of the stacked die cuts.
Adhere the stars to the front.
Add the last Blueberry Bushel star to the inside mat of Basic White (5 1/4″ x 4″) and adhere to the inside.
