Bauble Blooms Angled Gatefold Card

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. Today we will be sharing cards made in the Gatefold style. I have chosen to make an Angled Gatefold Card using the Bauble Blooms bundle.

The Bauble Blooms has a beautiful ornament or bauble that you an stamp in a variety of colors and hang on your cards. Here it is on my angled gatefold card with a belly band. The Season of Elegance paper is a beautiful complement to the bauble.

The sentiments in the Bauble Bloom set are fun to use and come in phrases and single words so you can mix them up and change colors easily. The Mossy Meadow and Gold ribbon is a perfect accent to this card.

instructions for the Bauble Blooms Card

1. Cut a Cherry Cobbler card base 5 1/2″ x 11″ and score at 3 3/8″ from each side.
2. Mark and cut your “angles” as shown in the diagram. It may be helpful to watch the video first!
3. Mark 1 1/2″ down the right side and cut from top left corner to the mark on the right side.
4. Measure 1″ to the left of the bottom right corner and cut from the 1 1/2″ mark down to the 1″ mark on the bottom.

5. Next you will cut your Cherry Cobbler & gold patterned paper. Start with two pieces that are 3 1/8″ x 5 1/4″ and place them right sides facing each other. You will mark them similarly to the sides of your card base.
6. Mark 1 1/2″ down the right side and cut from top left corner to the mark on the right side.
7. Measure 1″ to the left of the bottom right corner and cut from the 1 1/2″ mark down to the 1″ mark on the bottom.
8. Adhere your patterned paper to each of the front flaps.
9. Stamp your inside sentiment on a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White. Make sure your sentiment is either completely visible when the card is folded or below the folded flaps- your choice.
10. On a piece of Basic White stamp the leaves of the bauble in Mossy Meadow.
11. Add the outline of the flowers in Memento ink.
12. Stamp the center of the flowers in Cherry Cobbler ink. Die cut with the Bauble die.
13. Die cut the bauble hanger from a scrap of gold.
14. Adhere the bauble hanger.
15. Add a ribbon through the hanger.
16. Wrap a 1″ x 9 1/2″ piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock around your closed card so it overlaps in the front to create the belly band. Adhere closed.
17. Pop the bauble up on this belly band with dimensionals.
18. Add three Antique Pearls colored with the dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.
