The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we participate in several collaborative projects, including Blog Hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

This Awesome Triangular Treat Box is so quick and easy to make! I call it Awesome because it can hold a large quantity of many different candies! Isn’t that awesome? I really love making 3D projects for any and all holidays! This Awesome Triangular Treat box will help you get a jump on those gifts for people at your office (does anyone go to the office?) or your co-workers at home! Family members will love them too!
This Awesome Triangular Treat Box uses the Heartwarming Hugs patterned paper pack. There are so many great papers that would work for this. Here I used Real Red card stock but you could also use Old Olive or Mossy Meadow. The Tailor Made Tags add a beautiful finishing touch to the box. The Real Red Sheer ribbon ties so nicely- I use it whenever I can!
Instructions
- Cut your card stock 9″ x 8″.
- With the 9″ side across the top, score at 2″ and 7″.
- Turn so 8″ is across the top and score at 2″, 4″, and 6″.
- I prefer to trim my card stock before burnishing the folds. Burnish now if you prefer to burnish first.
- Cut your card stock so that it looks like the photo below. Here’s how:
- Cut away the top most square on either side.
- Cut the next flap in half horizontally and snip on the inside vertical score line. Miter the edge slightly. Do both sides.
- Do the same thing to the bottom flap.

- Use the Detailed Trio punch to round the top corners.
- Cut three pieces of Heartwarming Hugs patterned paper to 4 3/4″ x 1 3/4″. Round the top corners on one piece.
- Adhere the three pieces of patterned paper as shown below.

- Add glue as shown on the “half flaps.”
- Turn your card stock over and adhere the flaps to the inside of the rectangles.
- While holding each end of the box, use your fingers to slightly pinch the top. This will allow the top flap to fold over the triangular portion.

- Fill your box with candies!
- Fold the flap over. Tie a bow with about 20″ of Real Red ribbon.
- Stamp the sentiment “Christmas Cheer throughout the year” on a scrap of Basic white with Mossy Meadow ink, and die cut using the second smallest rounded tag.
- Add a small piece of Basic White Essentials Baker’s Twine. Adhere to the front of the Awesome Triangular Box with dimensionals.
