Alphabet Party Dies Cards with Paper Piecing

Welcome to the Technique Tuesday blog hop! Today our theme is paper piecing. I have chosen the new Party Alphabet Dies to do a bit of piecing! These dies are a whopping 2 1/4″ high and so much fun to use on the front of a card. Here the first of two cards made with these dies.

And here is the second card. Notice anything?

You probably noticed that the HI from the Garden Green card stock was “pieced” back into the floral piece and the floral HI was “pieced into the Garden Green piece. It was a quick way to make two cards. That beautiful embossing folder is the Pressed Flowers embossing folder and the sentiment is from the Storybook Friends stamp set.

instructions for the Party Alphabet Dies cards

Cut 2 Thick Basic White card bases 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
Cut 2 Blackberry Bliss mats 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. Adhere to the front of each card base.
Cut one piece of patterned paper from the Floral Impressions paper pack to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and die cut HI from the lower right corner.
Cut one piece of Garden Green Paper 5 1/4″ x 4″ and die cut the Hi from the lower right corner.
Adhere the floral paper to the card front WITHOUT the letters in place.
Adhere the green letters into place on the floral paper.
Run the green card stock WITHOUT the letters through the Pressed Flowers embossing folder and then adhere to the front of the card.
Insert the floral letters into the green card front.
Stamp 2 Hello friends sentiments on a 1/2″ strip of Basic White card stock with Blackberry Bliss ink. Adhere to the card front.
Stamp the large flower from the Impressions Abloom stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on the inside of each card.
Add a few Starburst Sequins to the front of each card.

June Card Class in the Mail

Join me this month for my Card Class in the Mail- All Occasion Stamp-a-Stack. We’ll make 8 cards (2 of 4 designs) so you’ll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions. For August we will use the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set.

Cost is $35.00 (local) or $40 (by mail) or free with a minimum of a $50 order (before taxes and shipping and after any Stampin’ Rewards are applied).

Two options – in person or by mail.

In Person – class will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
By mail – Zoom will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. The class will be recorded and the replay available via YouTube if you can’t attend the class. You can substitute stamp sets or add the stamp set/punch to your order and use your own inks.

There is the option to add on the stampset or bundle. You can choose to add the stamp set ($19) or the stamp set and punch bundle ($42.25). Shipping will be on me!
