The Crafty Collaborations Team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Welcome to our Technique Tuesday Blog Hop focusing on Re-inkers and all the fun things you can do with them. I think we will all learn a few new tricks today.
This is the first card I created with the re-inkers. To make this beautiful background, I saturated a cotton ball with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol with a few drops of re-inker and then dabbed it on a piece of vellum. I added more color and more alcohol until I achieved the desired background and dried it with the heat gun. You can check out the video below to see how I added the Gilded Leafing.
This is the card I completed on my FaceBook Live linked below. Both of these cards use the same paper measurements.
- Card Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4
- Vellum 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Adhesive Sheet 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Basic White (2) 5 1/4″ x 4″, one under the vellum and one inside
- Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″ with third largest Deckled Rectangle cut from center to make frame

I just finished watching your video on the re-ink and alcohol (could not sleep). That was fabulous. I will have to buy some of the gold leafing. I did not see the value in buy the leafing, but you changed my mind. I will have to try this. I am a demonstrator under Sharon Armstrong. I use my talent as a ministry and just for the hobby for myself.
